The Goal Machine Rolls On!!

With Euphoria still wafting through the changing room can the Pikes carry on from where they left off last week against Brid Town, well it didn't look that way at the start of todays game, our passing was atrocious, time and time again we gave the ball away and looked very lethargic, that was until Liversedge opened the scoring with a tremendous strike from the left outside the box straight to the top right of our goal.
This seemed to gee up our lads up a bit and we managed to equalise on 29 mins with a great shot from Tom Fenwick. However Liversedge wern't going to just lie down and upped the pace and tried out our keeper time and again and we looked second best for the rest of the half. So 1-1 at half time.
I don't know what was said or done at half time but The Pikes started a hell of a lot better from the re-start and began some great flowing moves which of only 2 mins into the second half Carl (Goal Machine) Stewart opened his account with a wonderful chip over the keeper, there's no holding Stewart at the minute and as the game went on he and Baggy and Fenner could have notched up more. On 62 mins Stewart scored his second and could get a shot at the match ball. Alas we didn't score anymore goals but ran out winners 3-1 so well done Jimmy, Deanno And All the Lads well played. By the way well done to those who spotted the spoof log after our last game he he he he.
