semifinal/final

Many apologies, I forgot to give notice/report etc of our win against Thackley and the details for the Final, played yesterday at Liversedge.

We won the semi 5-4 after extra time in a very hard fought game. We were excellent in the first-half and should have been up by 4 or 5. Our team talk must have been off key as the players were the exact opposite to our desires, performing poorly in the second period and losing our lead before we won it in extra time.

The Final was a cracking game against Harrogate Railway (who had managed a victory and draw against us in the league). They obviously expected a win!!!!

Our performance and attitude throughout was truly excellent., the win richly deserved, and we were delighted for the players and the club to take the Trophy after all had worked so hard since October.

2-1, again after extra time with goals from Lewis Taylor and a penalty(at last) from Nathan Cook bringing joy to the Pickering contingent.

Again, like the First Team, some of the players will be asked to move to Brid. We suspect that the travelling will be a bit much for many who will be encouraged to play for the Pikes next season.

And again, our time at Mill Lane working with the club and young players has been a most pleasurable experience. To top it all we have been able to win a Trophy for the club and the regular supporters.
